![Knee deep in animals - Omaha, NE: March 13, 2001
[Ten years ago, I moved from Washington, DC to San Diego, CA. I am re-publishing the things I wrote during that move exactly ten years after they happened. Read the intro here.]
Last night, we stayed with friends in Omaha, Nebraska. As you can see, they have a lot of pets. This also may be the least flattering picture I have ever taken.
The night before we stayed in Elkhart, IN (didn’t make it all the way to Chicago), and we spent yesterday driving across Illinois & Iowa. I tried to convince Jenn to stop at the Bob Feller museum, but was unsuccessful. Omaha is a surprisingly cool town - one that I would never have thought to go to otherwise.
Today we continue our journey across America’s flatlands - looking forward to see what Nebraska and Kansas have to offer. Yes, I say that with some sarcasm.
